Its tuning allows him to play Lute and Vihuela music as well as other early music repertoire without taking away the bass notes or changing the key of the piece.

Giovanni Girolamo Kapsberger (1580-1651): Toccata VI

Live Concert Recording taken on 29.10.2024 at Kreuzkirche Henstedt-Ulzburg (Germany).

Guitar + Electronics

An audio exciter attached to the guitar allows it to function as a speaker through which Bold plays live electronic sounds from his computer.

These sounds are themselves processed guitar recordings which Bold composes into ethereal meditations.

Guitar and electronic sounds all come from the same wooden body which he uses to play duos together with recordings of himself.
